Everyone – regardless of age, gender, religion, ethnicity, ability, sexual orientation, etc. – has unique and valuable experiences to share with others. If you’ve attended a workshop (or more than one!) and you’re thinking of becoming a facilitator, we’d love to hear from you!
Typically speaking, a facilitator-in-training is expected to attend at least three workshops (including levels 1 and 2) as a participant, followed by a Training for Facilitator weekend course. Once you have completed the training, you will have the chance to facilitate a few workshops as an Apprentice Facilitator alongside experienced facilitators. You will be supported by a mentor throughout this process.
Facilitators are volunteers and therefore do not receive payment for their time; however, any relevant expenses (such as travel) will be reimbursed.
Interested? Contact us or reach out to your workshop facilitator for more information.
“There is no other community I identify with as strongly. I am delighted to be a part of it. I look forward to being able to give back as much as I receive from the process”
“It has been a wonderful time and experience in my life and I am so glad I am part of this amazing and astonishing organisation”
The Alternatives to Violence Project Britain relies on the generosity of supporters like you. We charge a small fee for our workshops, but no one is ever turned away if they can’t pay. Donations like yours, alongside community grants, are what keep AVP running. No amount is too large or small.
Donate via JustGiving or via Crowdfunder. Both platforms accept one-time and monthly recurring donations.
