Facing Up to Conflict Distance Learning Course (FUTC DL)

Our distance learning course can help you learn how to manage conflict better and improve your relationships with other people – on your own time. More than 90% of participants who have completed it said that it helped them to improve their communication with others and to manage conflict better.

The course will help you to:

  • Understand your emotions better
  • Improve your self-esteem
  • Know how to address conflict without fighting or simply avoiding it
  • Communicate better with other people
  • Find solutions to problems
  • Learn to trust other people more

How does the course work?

Every week for six weeks, we’ll email you a different piece of coursework to complete with a small amount of writing. If you don’t have access to a computer or a laptop, please let us know, and we can post the coursework to you.

When all the coursework has been returned to us, it will be reviewed by an AVP volunteer assessor who will give you personal feedback.

If we’d like you to look at some of the exercises again, we’ll let you know. There is no reason for stress – you can submit the exercises more than once.

Once you have successfully completed the course, you’ll receive a copy of the assessment and a certificate.
